Parents/Students

  • How do I request for a tutor?
  • You may request for a tutor online via the request form or contact us at 98280532.
  • How do I verify the tutor’s qualification?
  • All tutors will bring their certificates on the first lesson.
  • Are there extra charges besides the tuition fees?
  • No, we will only be taking 50% of the first month tuition fees as agency commission while the remaining 50% will be paid to the tutor.
  • How do I pay the agency commission?
  • After the tutor completes half a month of lessons, which will most likely be after 2 or 4 lessons depending on the frequency per week, we will send you the invoice by mail or SMS. The invoice will clearly state the amount payable and our account numbers for payment via ATM or internet banking. Please contact us to arrange for collection if you wish to pay by cash or cheque. We do not recommend that our tutors collect this amount on our behalf.
  • Are there any obligations to continue the tuition lessons if I find the tutor not suitable?
  • No, you may wish to discontinue anytime should you find the tutor not suitable to teach your child. You will only be required to pay for the amount of lessons that the tutor goes for. In this case, if you decide to discontinue with the tuition lessons within the first month, kindly pay the tuition fees to us instead of the tutor and we will pay our tutors. Our tutors will not be allowed to collect this sum of money.

Tutors

  • Is there a registration fee to be your agency’s tutor?
  • No, registration is free-of-charge.
  • What are the requirements to be your agency’s tutor?
  • You must be 18 or above and either a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident (PR). You must also have a minimum qualification of ‘O’ levels.
  • Is it compulsory to upload my photo and certificates?
  • It is not compulsory but you are strongly encouraged to do so. With the photo and certificates, it will be easier for parents/students to shortlist you as a tutor of their choice.
  • How will I be notified of new assignments?
  • Assignments will be updated on our website and at the same time, we will also broadcast it to tutors via email and SMS. Thus, do ensure that your mobile number is updated so that you will be notified. Please note that you should only reply to the SMS if you are able to commit to the frequency of the lesson, timings and location of the tuition assignment.
  • I replied to your SMS but why did I not get a reply?
  • We regret to inform that we will only reply shortlisted tutors. To increase the chances of getting a tuition assignment, do upload your certificates for our clients to view.
  • What are the commission charges?
  • EliteSGtutors levies a 50% charge for the first month of tuition lessons, which will most likely be 2 or 4 lessons depending on the frequency per week. This agency commission will be collected from the parent / students directly.
  • What if the Parent / Student decide to stop the tuition within a month?
  • Should the parent / student decide to discontinue with the tuition lessons within a month, the agency’s commission will still be 50% of the tuition lessons conducted. The remaining amount will then be paid to the tutor.
  • How do I close/deactivate my account as a tutor?
  • You may email us at tutor@elitesgtutors.com, providing your name and contact number. Please note that you will not be able to reactivate your account but instead, you will have to re-register as a tutor.
